Service is slow, atmosphere is stodgy, and owner is unprofessional. He failed to honor a verbal contract with a wonderful band—Live at the Fillmore East, The Allman Brothers Tribute Band. We went to the restaurant specifically to see the band perform, but we left in protest when the owner reneged on his deal. Easy to leave, since, after a 20-minute wait, we still had no cocktails. I love this place! The service was phenomenal, food was delicious and the owners treated our family like their own during our stay in nc.

When we got there, sat, and ordered the servers were great. The food on the other hand was terrible. I mean not that easy to mess up oysters, tuna, and crab bisque. Worst of it all we went there with 45 people for a large dinner party, and 5 of us ended up with food poisoning. We are all on vacation together and the last thing is wanting to be bed ridden for two days. 5 of us, come on....

Waiter was wonderful, very attentive to our needs. Everything was excellent from the appetizers, dinner, drinks, and desserts! Atmosphere was wonderful, loved all the old furniture and fixtures! Prices were as expected as well as portion size. We'll be back again. 7 in our party and we all recommend trying! Thank you.
