Having time to unload your own pod is great but don't try to schedule a pickup without plenty of notice. Also make sure you ask the if you Need a city permit to deliver the pod. They had our address and didn't tell us that a permit might be needed until we called to schedule delivery. What a mess and of course PODS said that was my fault.

I'm a fan of PODS. They save you a lot of hassle if you have to move twice in a short period of time. However, it's expensive and if you need it less than a full month or two months, etc. then you get charged for the FULL month. Overall, the timeliness of delivery/pickup and how your items arrive (just the way you left them) is worth the expensive cost.

Their "3 Hour Window" is just a suggestion. The first driver showed up earlier than the time we'd been told. Luckily, my wife pulled up just as he was leaving (without having dropped off the POD) and caught up to him three blocks away. He returned and dropped it off.I had asked for an end of day pick-up …

Very convenient service. Everything was one-time, website was so intuitive I never spoke with a person, and it eliminated an entire load/reload for me while transitioning to a new home. Would definitely use again.
