I'm sure VCU is great hospital overall but we have to start examining who we are hiring as health care professionals cause you have a baby in the MICU on life support now from a common mistake that was made by the hospital and now Dr. Brain does not want to treat this child. It that how we care for babies.

I was there for a Procedure which Dr.Zachary,Gerth of Cardiology department was supposed to perform. I was told that if he is busy another doctor will do the procedure so that i don't have to wait. When I asked, Staff told me that just incase only. Tell me why the women's health department here was trying to make me wait no less than a month to get an appointment for a problem visit.... Not an ordinary checkup, but a problem visit. Same thing happened when I tried to schedule a dentist appointment with this center. You're better off finding a non-VCU doctor's office. I cannot trust any medical facility that can't get me in soon enough...

VCU is great if you have great insurance. My brother was admitted to trauma and they told him he'd be in the hospital for a couple of weeks. They also told my family he was no where close to going home. He was barely able to walk, had a compression fracture in his neck, broken ribs etc etc. Once they found out (and I was told this by staff) that his medicare was from another state. They...
