For 80 years, PPAMA has provided high-quality reproductive healthcare and education to the women and families of Mercer County, New Jersey.
Planned Parenthood believes in the fundamental right of each individual to manage his or her own sexuality and fertility, regardless of income, marital status, sexual orientation, age, race or national origin. We further believe that such responsible management will contribute to an enhancement of the quality of life, strong family relationships and community stability.
Based on these beliefs, the mission of Planned Parenthood is:
• To provide comprehensive reproductive and complementary health care which contributes to individual well being and community stability;
• To provide these services in settings which preserve and protect the essential privacy and rights of each individual;
• To advocate public policies which guarantee these rights and ensure the understanding of the individual and societal implications of human sexuality;
• To encourage research and the advancement of technology in reproductive healthcare and an understanding of their inherent bio-ethical, behavioral, and societal implications.
Planned Parenthood Association of the Mercer Area is one affiliate of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the nation's largest family planning organization.
