The Pines proved to be worth the drive up from Duck. The staff was very friendly and the course was challenging for me and easy enough for others in my party to enjoy themselves. The fairways were wide and well maintained. The only issue were the greens on several of the holes. A few of them were unputtable but but that didn't stop us from enjoying the day. The staff was not really friendly with me. The course lay out was poor.
Not particularly long, but there are some tricky holes that will make you think. The greens were way slower than I thought they were and should have been, but maybe they weren't able to cut them because of all the rain proceeding my round… Not sure. Definitely a good value for what I paid though.
Always enjoy playing the Pines . We travel from the Norfolk area 2 to 3 times a year to play . We were unhappy with the speed of the greens . They were very slow . They were in good shape just way to slow .. Other than that fun course to play .
Excellent even with aeration be done the day before very nice fairways and greens
