My husband and I have been dealing with DePaul hospital for 12 weeks now. He was hospitalized twice over the course of that time. Most recently, he was re-admiited the evening of Wed. 3-14. I went to see him Thursday morning and he was in so much pain that he was screaming that they were treating him like a dog. Thay had his 6' 2"" frame scrunched up on a small bed and gave him no painkillers except for percaset throughout the night. He was running a fever which was not addressed. My mohter has been going to this center for years because she does not have medical insurance. Everytime I take her there the intake nurses are very nasty and treat her like dirt. I feel because they in counter some "poor" people they feel they have the right to treat them like dirt.
