There is no denying Panache's elegance. The walls are done in a soft shade of wheat, the bar is long and sleek and bouquets of flowers dot the dining room. The dining room chairs are bright yellow, 1950s style lounge artwork hangs on the walls and some weekend nights, the line to get in stretches down the block. It's a jolt of energy across the street from the quiet Mayflower Hotel. Panache...
A french style restaurant close to the main street and downtown but secluded enough for some piece and quiet. I would however suggest the terrace but not on the side of the bar. The music was loud.

Choose small plates, cold or hot, but don't get too many - they are really good sized. Roast beets salad was a little disappointing; though lots of very crisp, bright greens and a fresh citrus dressing, only 5 small pieces of beet served...
My wife and I had a late lunch today which was very good. After a full day we returned for a late simple meal tonight. Very convenient to the Mayflower Hotel. Reasonably priced.
