Great Company!
Old world brick paving put a driveway, walkway and patio in for us and all I can say is quality! We found them on Angie's list. My husband is a road engineer for the state and said that he has seen major highways built with less stone base in them. Frank the owner, came out and gave us a personal estimate on the spot, no wait like the other guys who did nothing but try to sell us. Frank never tired to sell us he just went in to detail about how he was going to install our new driveway and educating us the whole way on the proper way to install the base and all of the difference in the materials that he was going to use verses the other guys. He never left out a detail on anything, and spent 2 hours with us. Coming from my husband who grilled him for a half hour and is super anal about details to everything this is a great feat! The funny part is we were glad he was the last estimate because the other guys never mentioned any of the details that he did, and my husband stated that old world brick paving was the only one ... walkway and patio in for us and all I can say is Quality! Our previous patio had been installed 8 years ago by a major brick paving company. The patio was put in by the previous owners of the house, all documentation included. The problem was when we called them back they were not interested in repairing their work, they just wanted to sell us a new patio and driveway. We soon found out why their work fell apart. Their contract stated that they would put in 6 inches of stone. But when old world took the old patio out my husband inspected it and there was barely 4 inches of stone. They never put in what they said they were going to put in, that's why the original patio failed. Mind you this was a company who said that they had been in business for twenty years or more! Old world then proceeded to take out the old base plus a lot more dirt and then installed there stone. Passed my husband Johns test equipment. Which ,I have no Idea what it does, but comes in a bright yellow case with warning labels all over it. We are now confident that the work was done right and you can see the quality in not just the work above, but also I can say the work below that you don't see. If you are looking for the job to be done right, and not get cheated by some when you're not looking, then hire these guys! Their men are neat and clean and attention to details after the job was completed was amazing.
