Stopped in early on a Friday night on a whim and so glad we did. Elegance without being snobbish. Wonderful service and excellent food in a beautiful old building. If you get the opportunity spend a couple hours and order a bottle of wine and be sure to stay for dessert.

The Old Courthouse has established itself, over many years of reliably superior cuisine and presentation, as a go-to restaurant in the Newport/Lake Sunapee region for special occasions or just a casual meal in a classy, comfortable (and somewhat quieter) atmosphere. The Old Courthouse are Polish food when we went so we got to try ethic food. We did enjoy it and the service is always great.

Great chef that has been there since the beginning. Great old brick courthouse turned into a restaurant owned by the same friendly people for 19 years. Classy and elegant atmosphere . Fresh fruit and pastries . Quiches, spiral ham Omelet cooked to order , creme Brule french toast to die for. All served with a piano music and great service....
