Remote area in the corn fields and marsh. Very nice and clean.Mosquitos were very bad in the evening. Even the bug spray didn't help. Have a mosquito tent with you.Great place for kids and family!!!!Large lake that has fish and you can kayak or bring remote controlled boats!

We stayed at North River Campground in August 2015. Since we arrived over a special weekend for the park, they would not honor our Passport America or Good Sam discount and we had to pay full price. The roads leading into the park are very narrow but are also in good shape. We didn't see a problem with potholes but...

Biting bugs everywhere

Camped 5 nights in 5th wheel w/ 2 dogs. Biting bugs at all times when outside and after dark was the worst. No shade at campsites. Campground surrounded by dense trees encapsulates heat and keeps breeze away. Bathrooms and laundry have NO A/C so it is sweat or be eaten. Couldn't cancel or leave early due to their policy.

We stayed here for five nights. The campground is clean, with all of the amenities you want. The pond is a beautiful sight. It's quiet here. This is not a campground that aims to entertain you, like a Jellystone. There is a lot to do in the area. The staff is excellent. We rolled in after hours due to two...

We spent the long Presidents weekend at Northriver campground, to get to the site you have to go down some pretty narrow roads so beware. The lady in the office checked us in efficiently and we were helped to our pitch by another member of staff, ( we now know he was the owner) As the weather was very cold...
