Words cannot describe these gardens. It is huge and just beautiful gardens. A little difficult to follow map. Small greenhouse. But the gardens make up for this.

We were fortunate the Azaleas were in full bloom. The Asians Lanterns were wonderful even in the daylight. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk.

The Norfolk Botanical Garden covers 155 acres and is surrounded by Lake Whitehurst. The garden features one of the most diverse collections of roses, rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias in the United States. Butterfly gardens, a bird sanctuary, ahealing garden and a Japanese garden are included on the grounds. Tours of the garden are available by tram or boat.
