Was slinging bánh mì before bánh mì was cool (and ubiquitous). Makes a fine sandwich, with more variations than most shops of its ilk offer. Mushroom and tofu to please vegetarians; pork, chicken, and classic pâté for the carnivores. Also serves bubble tea and a rich phở. Hole in the wall location isn't much, but gets the job done.

No Pork In My Pork Chop Pho

I was starving when I called to place an order -one pork chop pho with extra noodles. The order went smoothly, delivery on time, but when I opened the box, no protein to be found. T'was quite a sad occasion. I called 20+ times but all I got was the busy signal -and no they were indeed open.

We love Bahn Mi sandwiches and needed a bite to eat after arriving at the Nu hotel. I saw on the map the Name Nicky's Vietnamese Sandwiches was around the corner. Loved this place- we had a Sardine Bahn Mi sandwiches which we ate walking around Brooklyn- our only regret was not having enough time to get another sandwich before...

keep in mind viets dont know spicy. we got an order that was way waaay beyond acceptable spicy. best to add spiciness on yr own at home.
