These guys are amazing. I found them online and sought them for help in getting a fur coat I had been given cleaned and repaired. They devoted a large amount of time, examining the coat, giving me options and costs for several different levels of repair that could be done and a quote for cleaning the coat. They educated me about my coat and gave me a tour of their studio, which is a sort of gallery of (other customer's) fur garments and furnishings. I am left me with a very positive impression of their expertise and knowledge. I'd recommend this business to anyone needing or wanting care for fur garments.
I have been doing business with this father & son team for over 5 years, they are extremely professional and very knowledgeable about furs....I have a fur jacket that I purchased on-line that the Father, personal made in 1964....they tag and intial all their work.....they are a breath of fresh-air in the business of furriers.....you will not be disappointed.....they clean, glaze, repair and design all of my furs......LOVE TO YOU BOTH!!!!!
Sincerely, Reberita
Very nice distinguished gentleman helped me get some information on a fur from my grandmother. I look forward to doing business with them again in the future.
I brought in my mother;s vintage coat. Not only did they listen to what I wanted the two gentlemen were so polite and kind. I had fabulous service and my coat looks wonderful. The tailor did a magnificant job. Thank you , thank you , thank you.
I inherited a fur from my aunt who died last year. After a winter of wear, I brought it to Ungar Furs for some much-needed repairs, and I have never been treated so shabbily in my life. The older gentleman (I did not get his name) really needs to retire. He was gruff and tried to hurry me even though there were no other people in the store at the time. It felt like he was doing me a favor. The younger guy was calmer but didn't really seem to know what he was talking about.
In the end I did not leave my fur with them because their fees for repairs were way over what I felt the work was...
