NNP is place to wander, exercise, and enjoy the sounds of nature. A rustic place surrounded by tall trees, swamps, and trails. A nice place to get your mind off of the stressors of life.
Huge park, wonderfull place for family fun. The Virginia Fall Classic car show is held here in October and is my favorite car show in the Mid-Atlantic region (proceeds go to a Childrens Hospital). Frisbee golf, boating, pavilions for families, huge playgrounds.
Such a great place set in the middle of a city!!! There is a ton to do, and I always enjoy the Christmas Light show they put on every year!
we visited this park for its bike trail which we found out was only 5 miles with a completely gravel surface. Flat though and not at all challenging for an experienced cyclist. Very wooded and shaded. Good walking trail.
We went camping for two nights. Very large campground and lots of space between sites. Very wooded and rustic. We camped in D loop which has power (30 amp) and water. The bathhouses are a little dated but were clean and everything worked. The park is great! We originally planned to visit Williamsburg but ended up exploring the park instead!...
