The New York Deli first opened in the Bangel Building in 1964 and has been an Olde Towne favorite ever since. Before opening as a delicatessen the space was used as a firehouse with horse drawn fire wagons. Over the years the deli has been a great place to meet during a quick lunch break as well as a place for locals and tourist to stop in for a leisurely bite to eat.

Turkey Reuben and potato salad was very good. The restaurant needs some cleaning up though. Place looks dirty and they served my tea in a chipped glass.
When I went up to pay the bill, I found out that they did not accept credit cards! My fault...I should've checked the door for stickers before going in there without cash. Anyway, they had their own ATM that charged me the usual out-of-network fee. Ha, smart on their part. Instead of the credit card company charging them a fee, they charge a fee to the customer through the ATM. I believe it's an inconvenience to customers... at least for me because I don't carry cash.
