Went here with the family and everyone left happy. We ordered Irish meat and potato pie, corned beef with cabbage, fish tacos, and a burger with salad. Fresh veggies came with the 2 Irish meals and cottage fries (really, good slabs of potato) with the burger. The tuna for the tacos was cooked rare as asked. The 20-minute wait was eased by beers at the bar before we were seated in the dining area, and the food came quickly after it was ordered.

We pulled into Murphy's on a blustery rainy day, so of course, we ordered soup. My husband got the house special, the crab soup. It was cream-based, and one of the best crab soups he's had. I ordered a fish/clam chowder with bacon and potatoes, which was also good. We also ate fish and chips and fried oysters. Both did not disappoint. We would come here again.

Wife had the shrimp. Very big shrimp. I had the Irish Meat Pie. Excellent meal. When you go - go hungry. You will not leave hungry. Fantastic service, atmosphere and food.

This was the second time we had eaten here when visiting VA Beach. The location is very convenient, the restaurant itself a bit eclectic. But the food excels. Fresh, well conceived, great taste, and large portions. The Irish Stew was filled with vegetables cooked perfectly, the meat very tender, and the broth was outstanding. Husband had the fish and chips. Tempura like batter with a hint of spice. Very flaky fish. The chips were fresh potatoes cut into chips, gently fried so that they were soft with crisp exterior.
