This was near family without staying at their house, It was someplace to sleep at night. It would have been better if the pool was open but it was not(no water in) The frig door was broken inside but we were able to put drinks and snacks in there. We needed a place to stay overnight near Colonial Williamsburg after making last-minute plans to see the fireworks there on Independence Day. when we arrived we were kind of afraid of the area in which we were to stay. Walking around the backside of the building made me leery. The bathtub was broken in our original room but it was quickly addressed by the staff. It's not a place I would take my children. Pay a little more and get something better.

I recently stayed at the Motel 6 here in Newport News and was bit up by what I can only guess were bed bugs. My dates for staying there were 13-14 September 2014. Never saw any bugs but looked up bite patterns similar to those by bed bugs and it was identical.
