We were recommended to visit this park and were really pleased that we did. We started the day with one if the marked walks around part of the pond and then hired a canoe at very reasonable rates to explore the millpond further. We visited in mid March on an unusually hot day and vertically had the pond to ourselves....

Located in the NE corner of NC. We go there several times a year to camp out and enjoy the area. There are several hiking trails and the rangers conduct guide hikes and can point out the history of the area and other things you might miss.
