Matuba’s sushi selections are menu favorites, even though some of them sound vaguely Western, like the bagel roll or the Boston roll. If you can, grab a seat at the sushi bar to watch the action. Also a good show are the rotating sushi, available as a buffet certain days of the week.

Fantastic Lunch at a Great Price

Always a great Japanese restaurant that we frequently visited until moving. Decided to try it for lunch again and find it still has wonderful food in a very simple and clean environment. Can't beat the quality of food nor the great lunch specials. If you're in Bethesda it is worth a visit.

Good Sushi at Reasonable Prices

We ordered Super Sushi and Bento Box Dinner. They were not the best sushi we have tasted elsewhere but when you don't feel like cooking, it's a good restaurant to come for reasonably good Japanese food.
