Come for the style, stay for the salsa. This freshly inventive café at the Nicollet Mall serves up elegance and fun in equal measure. The work crowd flocks in for lunch specials and after work happy hour at the bar, but the mood is decidedly more pleasure than business. This is the kind of place you can seal the deal with a client and come back for dinner to wow a date. Soaring glass...

A guy walks into two bars: Masa vs. La Cucaracha

The idea: We wanted to find a good place to have tropical drinks in the dead of the Minnesota winter. And just to spice things up, we thought we’d taste test cocktails from both sides of the river to see who offers the better tonic for the February deep freeze. I visited La Cucaracha in St. Paul and Masa in Minneapolis to sample margaritas from each.  We put ‘em head to head: St. Paul vs....

More foodie-haven than cantina, let the Latin flavors of the decor, drinks and food whisk you away, if only for an evening.

In Short
You won't find hot sauce in this mod Mexican dining expanse, where each table comes stocked with sea salt, limes and a trio of tasty homemade salsas. The food is the primary...

We went to Masa for appetizers and drinks. Although they were not busy, the service was very slow. They forgot one of our appetizers completely. The tap beer list is very short. The bar area was not very clean, and the chairs and tables are...

I wished I would have kept searching for a place to have my evening meal. Food had no flavor and it was the smallest portions I have ever seen. Took them 30 minutes to bring my bill. I will never come back nor will I...

My boyfriend and I ate at Masa for the first time tonight and loved it! It's conventionally located walking distance from his place in Loring Park and we were looking forward to going again soon.
Unfortunately, they are closing after October 24th this year due to construction in the area. :(

Although they are quickly becoming anomalies through urban spread and development, it is in these rural areas that ancient customs are still practiced day-to-day where locals prepare food much like their ancestors did, and traditions have yet to be replaced by modern convenience. Well known for their Italian restaurants, D'Amico & Partner's passion for food extends to all cultures. A food ......

Latin, Take Out: The rich culinary tradition of Mexico gets a contemporary shake at this attractive Target Plaza dining room, where menu highlights include roasted pork shoulder marinated with lime and garlic, grilled chicken breast with Yucatecan marinade, and Black Angus rib-eye with ancho-chipotle butter. As far as margaritas go, the Mezcal and Cucumber are must tries, plain and simple. No,...
