Marumi

No-fuss, reasonable, under-the-radar sushi and Japanese with truly fresh fish. May not be Nobu or Bond Street, but makes Tomoe look just silly. Miniscule, immaculate kitchen turns out perfectly flaked tempura, teriyaki salmon, succulent pork. Generous noodle soups in winter. Lunchtime Bento box can't be beat: half a dozen delicacies with a choice of main for little more than a Hamilton-san.
