Marion's Pet World is UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP & MANGEMENT. We are located in norfolk, 2406 E. Little Creek Road (757)- 588-3556. If your looking for a puppy, kitten, hamster, gerbil, reptile or pet supplies we have what your looking for. We are open 7 days a week, monday through Saturday 10:00am. to 6:30pm. & Sunday from 10:00am. to 4:00pm. Come on in & visit us!
I visited this store 2 times, the first time, i walked in and there was a woman smoking a cigarette at the register. I approched another woman and asked for 2 dozen feeder fish. I left feeling like i didnt really have a dozen but couldnt count the fish really well with them all swimming around the bag. Today i was shopping at the dollar tree next door. I, out of convience, went into marions pet world again. Again there was a woman smoking a cigarette at the register, i couldnt believe it, I again asked for 2 dozen feeder fish, and went to the register to pay, after the woman put my fish into a bag she too lit up a cigarette. I still felt as if i was not give 2 dozen and asked about it, i was assured it was 2 dozen, i came home and decided as i dropped them into my turtle tank, i would count them. I only had 13 fish. This time i called and the woman who answered spoke to me in a grossly inappropriate tone. She told me that her employee gave me 26 fish and that they were not going to give me any more. I would not even waste the gas to go back up there anyway but its just the principle, they are rude, and extremly unproffesional. i usually go to pets n things at southern and they are the best.

I came to Marion's Pet World for the first time about a month ago. Betty, the manager, was extremely nice to me very helpful. I told her I'd love to do volunteer work there however a couple days after that I found out I was pregnant. Do not be fooled by the last 3 fake profiles. Take a look. All joined in April, All have one review. This place is the worst place ever. Take a look for yourself. Dieing animals. Owner chain smokes next to the animals. Reviews are still pouring in. Latest in July of 2012. Review include, Selling sick animals, dieing animals colors, breeding animals to sell, not caring for animals. Please read the reviews. this place is simply horrid to say in the least. From the stink of smoke the moment you walk in, and if you are lucky its just the smell and not a cloud of smoke.
Hygiene is so poor many animals seem to be coated in a layer of grime and even feces, in fact in purchasing a ferret and cage from the store my wife discovered the cage was infested with cockroaches once we got it home.
