Never Again

I live in an apartment complex here in Nashville and they use Mack Pest Control. After two run ins with them, I have told the management here that if they ever give my keys to any of MPC's servicemen, I will call the police. Twice they have entered my apartment while I was home and twice they have failed to knock, make themselves known, or even pause for me to figure out who they were. The first time they came, I was in my bathrobe and I was sitting on the couch that shares a wall with my front door. There was no knock, only the sound of keys turning the lock and them entering. I asked who they were and they told me and continued without pause into my home. My sister was undressed preparing for the shower and I had to yell "wait!" so that they did not go into the bathroom where she was.

The second time, yesterday, I left my bedroom at 11am and walked into my living room where I found a yellow card that had the MPC logo on it stating that they had been there. I was horrified to know that, while I was in my room, that a man from MPC had entered and left without my knowledge. I have a German shepherd and a Boxer and neither they nor I heard this man knock, call out who he was, or anything of that nature. It scared me to think that he was there and that I had no idea. My mother and I both called and spoke with a man named Ron who proceeded to tell us that, basically, we were liars because their "procedures and policies" prevented them from doing any of the above. He said they "always" knock and "always" make their presence known. This whole situation had a potential to be very dangerous not only for me but for the man who entered and did not alert me to his presence. What If I had heard him walk in a brought out my shepherd or my shotgun? I do not appreciate being called a liar and I do not appreciate the lack of willingness on the part of the companies management to get to the bottom of the situation without completely insulting me.
