Help us make it right

Our mission is to try to make your pet as comfortable as possible while away from home. We enjoy each and every pet and - providing love and care in your absence.

Little Paws Bed & Breakfast, located at Small Animal Medicine & Surgery, is a deluxe boarding facility for dogs, cats, rabbits, and "pocket pets."

Our mission is to try to make your pet as comfortable as possible while away from home. We enjoy each and every pet and - providing love and care in your absence.

We offer regular Boarding, Deluxe Bed & Breakfast, and Day Care.

Additional services include bathing, administering medication, specialized feeding, specialized exercise and physical therapy.

Because Little Paws Bed & Breakfast is located at Small Animal Medicine & Surgery, routine health care and medical procedures such as dental cleaning may be done while your pet stays with us.

A veterinarian is always available during your pet’s visit with us.

Sunday Pickups from 6:00PM to 7:00PM are offered on most Sundays throughout the year.

Bed & Breakfast: Bed & Breakfast was designed for the pet that likes to board in style, loves attention or needs to socialize with people. It includes a special breakfast, daily brushing, playtime with the staff, a bedtime treat, and a cozy bed for those who promise not to chew it up! There is an extra charge per day for Bed & Breakfast. Owners may elect to have this service for their pet each day the pet stays, or they can give their pet Bed & Breakfast on a selected number of days during the pet's stay. We have discovered through the years that pets who receive Bed & Breakfast love to stay with us! It is also good for pets that need to learn to socialize and pets that tend to be shy and fearful away from home. Occasionally, there are pets with aggressive personalities that we are unable to give Bed & Breakfast. If so, we will let you know.

Day Care: Day Care is designed to meet several pet needs. New puppies and kittens that need to socialize benefit from Day Care. Pets whose owners are gone all day and who are left in the home alone for extended periods of time will benefit from Day Care. Pets who require daily medications where the owners are unable to meet these needs can participate in Day Care and be properly cared for. Pets in Day Care are dropped off at the Hospital in the morning, at a time convenient to the owner, and left for the day. They are then picked up in the evening, to go home. We will take care of their needs, while they are left with us.

Housing: Little Paws features indoor-outdoor runs for large dogs and active small dogs. The indoor runs are heated and air-conditioned and have heated floors in the winter. For small dogs that like a little more cozy and secure space we have condos of various sizes. All dogs are allowed outside in the grassed-in play areas, several times a day, under supervision.

Cats are housed in duplexes in their own quiet room, away from the dogs. Duplexes have cat houses, benches or privacy screens, if desired. Inside play area and play stands are available.

Rabbits should bring their own cage, food, water bottles and bedding.

Pocket pets are placed in the hospital, as indicated, depending on temperature and lighting needs. Pocket pets must bring their own secure cage, bedding, food, and any special items, such as heated rocks, etc.

Dr. Gardner treated our older dog that had age-related movement and walking issues with laser therapy and it has it has given him a new life! He is now able to get up from lying down much quicker and moves around the house again like he did when he was much younger. I'd suggest asking about laser therapy if you have an aging dog that is having difficulty moving. It has been a Great therapy for...

Went to Small Animal Medicine & Surgery for the first time this week. My rescue dog Charlie saw Dr. Gardner. He was having problems walking and was in a lot of pain. Dr. Gardner said the issue was a torn ligament in his knee and recommended surgery as one of the appropriate options. We had Dr. Gardner do the knee surgery on Charlie and everything went Great. Charlie is recovering well and can...

Small Animal Medicine & Surgergy is a Great animal hospital. I have two pet rabbits that Dr. Gardner treats. She has more knowledge about rabbits that most other veternarians I have had contact with in the past.
If you have a rabbit that needs to see a veterinarian that is really knowledgable about rabbits, I'd highly recommend going to Dr. Gardner.

I've been taking my dogs and cats to SAMS for over 20 years and have always been pleased with how Dr. Gardner goes out of her way to explain things. Her staff really loves their jobs too and you can see it in the way they treat the animals.

Dr. Gardner at Small Animal and Surgery is someone I would trust with all of my pets. She has helped out my family and friends with the care of our dogs and cats! You will find a clean office...
