How to handle such disputes

I'm a franchisee of Liberty in another part of the company and I'd like to help you resolve the issue you're having. There are not excuses for mistakes, but there are ways to address them.
Liberty Tax Service offices are owned by individual franchisees. If you cannot resolve the problem at the individual office level, you should call Liberty's corporate headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA. ...

The Liberty Tax Service prepared my taxes in 2001. This past July I recieved a letter from the Internal Revenue stating that the taxes had an error and they corrected it and now we owe a sum of money, plus fees and penalties.
