An interesting place.........hard to call it a coffee shop.

It's like in 4 segments.......coffee house, ice cream parlor,
bakery and sandwich shop. The 'sandwich shop' has simple
dinner entrees. A tasty experience in an informal setting. Near
the theaters........stop here before or after.

This unpretentious bistro may not be the first choice for trend-setters or serious foodies, but its comfortable setting and tasty, reasonably priced menu selections make Les Halles a fine dining option for theatergoers or those simply hungry for steak frites. First time I've ever had fries mixed in with my frisee salad. It was way too greasy and salty. The crispy duck was dry and chewy. Definitely not for me.

Very solid and very satisfying. If you're in the mood for culinary theatrics, this isn't the place for you; but if you want a hearty, delicious, simple, traditional Bistro meal and a decent, affordable wine by the glass you can't you wrong at Les Halles.
