Epicurean litmus test lets you know which of your friends is faking. Mind-blowing wine list separates sommeliers from the wannabes. Flawless French cuisine follows suit, straying from tradition only when necessary. Provençale label boils down to lots of extra thyme. Cream and beige everything-the color's all on your plate except for the glass octopus chandelier. And the ceiling has stars! ...
Chic, elegant Le Paradou vies with just a handful of other destinations as DC's most expensive restaurant. With a menu devised by executive chef Yannick Cam, that's no wonder. That said, Le Paradou may well be the ideal location for marriage proposals, brokering million-dollar deals and signing up mega-star talent. As expected, every detail is honed to perfection: a beige-on-white-on-tan color...

Very chic. Moderately to severely expensive. This is the place for
a very romantic evening, or a real power dinner for clients.
Service was very good, every course had a touch that put it just at or
over the top, and it was evident that you were in the presence of kitchen
talent. Menu is pretty wide ranging, but they did seafood particularly
well the evening we were there. Highly recommended.
This area! the terra masue (sp?) is to die for. Italion food!
They have a very nice and growing wine list. Very heavy on Burgandy,
both red and white. While I did not spend much time talking to the
somm. (he was very busy) he seemed to be very knowledgable and
proud of his list.
I really liked this place, would recommend it for a special nite out.

When Le Paradou opened in 2004, it was a crowning moment for chef and co-owner Yannick Cam, whose career has been marked by celebrated stops at restaurants in Europe and America. At Le Paradou, guests find an unpretentious modern setting inspired by the intimate hillside villages of France. As for the fare, Cam is careful to ensure that his take on French cuisine isn't confined by the...
