A Terrible (and dangerous) Rental Experience

This is a location close to where I live, $35 for a 24 hour rental, while not cheap, is reasonable, so I decided to rent 2 bikes from them (for me and my girlfriend) for a day trip to governors island.

First thing: the selection was terrible. They had 3 bikes to choose from for me and 2 for her. If the term ""vintage"" means ""piece of junk you'd pay 10 bucks for at a garage sale"", I guess they were vintage.

At any rate. even if it is a crappy bike, you would expect them to be at least tuned up. 2 out of 3 gears worked on her bike and mine shifted down to the lowest setting...
