La Tuna is like a Phoenix. Returned to La Tuna and things are really looking up. I had a cheesy burger and it was delightful. Full of flavor and the burger meat was grilled just right. My previous visit involved lots of waiting. Not anymore. Food was ready in a timely manner and the service was friendly.

Shiner Head. Came here for the beer. Nice outside, under the trees watering hole that could get addictive if not for raunchy clientele at times. Have limited myself to lunch or early afternoon visits and do nothing but enjoy an ice cold beer in the shade, just keepin' the faith . . . .

This ultra-casual bar called La Tuna Grill provides the perfect backdrop for drinking a few brews, getting a little sun and seeing a lot of local color. A few tables are inside, but most of the action takes place on the patio, under a canopy of huge pecan trees.
