This is one of a number of interesting sites recommended as part of a leisurely tour of the Northern Neck.
Previous reviews note the very knowledgeable and friendly curator, Lynn Norris. She is just terrific and has many wonderful stories about Kinsale, the Museum, and Northern Neck history.

Worth the Stop

Very nice little museum. Very friendly and helpful volunteer. The village is a nice little side trip if you are traveling along Route 3. You can visit wineries in the area, eat at the BackDraft restaurant and visit the antique/consignment shops in the area. Very nice afternoon outing!

We did a short tour of Northern Neck places we'd not visited before, Kinsale being one. The museum is only opened Friday and Saturdays; if you are there, by all means stop and visit. The curator is very knowledgable and entertaining, as I had her switching topics and she never failed to have a story. The community has been generous...
