THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kinkead's Restaurant Review

Chef Robert Kinkead's eclectic seafood menu centers on pristinely fresh fish and shellfish prepared in a variety of ways, from simply grilled to elaborately prepared Thai or Scandinavian stews. Kinkead's spectacular shellfish platter may seem like an expensive treat with its big price tag, but it serves six easily. Standards include crusty fried clams, grilled squid with creamy polenta, crab...

On the decline

For the past 10 years, Kinkeads has been my go to restaurant for a special meal. No longer. The chef still produces amazing food but even amazing food pales when: the fish is raw even when you asked for it done the waiter disappears for long periods of time you are seated by a large group ion a small room even though the restaurant is half empty (yes, we had made a reservation) the women's...

Great Experience at Kinkead's

My husband and I had never been to Kinkead's, despite it's long tenure in the city. We were going to the Kennedy Center and made a reservation for Saturday night. It was one of the best whole fish preparations I have ever tasted....

To start we split mussels and two different salads, all of which were delicious. For dinner, I had the pan seared sea scallops plated with gnocchi, mushrooms, pearl onions, and a lemon-butter sauce. I literally wanted to lick the sauce off of the plane, it was incredible and not too thick or heavy as butter sauces...

terrific

This place was great! The cocoa and spice rubbed tuna and the snapper wrapped in banana leaves and grilled were imaginative and delicious. the fried clams were the best I've had anywhere. comfortable, well informed and friendly servers.
