King's has been in business for over 70 yrs, so they must be doing something right, unfortunately, their type of bbq was not my favoritE and the vinegar sauce was a tad too strong for my taste.
The portions were more than ample and the prices very reasonable. The locals do hang out there and know exactly what they like....

Kings has been around for a long time and is a favorite for locals. Great flavor, several offerings beside barbecue. Friendly, homey atmosphere. I don't even mind when there may be a slight wait, it's worth it.

Growing up in tri-city area, Kings was a staple. Having moved away over 25 years ago, whenever "home" we have to stop at Kings. Love the minced BBQ. We always buy jars of sauce to bring back. In the state we live now, a friend has a weekend BBQ business. He asks us to bring back Kings sauce. Nobody around...

King's Famous Barbecue has been a Virginia dining tradition since 1946. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Meats are slow smoked over an oak wood fire and then smothered in King's signature barbecue sauce. Bottled sauces are available for home cooking and they also offer catering.
