I visited Joe van Gogh several times while in Durham in fall 2012. Very good coffee with some interesting pastries from Scratch Bakery downtown on offer here. (The dark chocolate crostata is something else.) Its small size does not naturally lend itself to working here for hours on end though the seats were all full each time I visited. Although...

I went here with my husband coz we were craving for some good coffee which is not in a plastic cup !! This place is great. Pretty small but was full with students getting through school work along with a cup of coffee. the menu is brilliant.
