We stayed in the monthly sites from March - June 2011. When we saw the staff they were friendly. Office only open on weekends. Site had no dish reception..barely get regular tv. More rules then we have ever seen at a park. They charged for everything. We travel with my husbands job and for the price it just wasnt that nice. It was clean and not run down..but for that price there should of been...

We stayed for a season and loved the campground, people, facilities, and pet friendliness here in Virginia. Would recommend for a stay or season, plenty to do shop, swim, boating,or sightseeing.

We went there last weekend and I was positively surprised. Well we had a tentside right on the water and unfortunately the tide was very high at the first day so we had to move. But it was fine on the next day. But other than that it was just great. It is very family-like there. People are friendly and greet you and talk to you like you're a part of the family. well I loved it just makesure you have plenty of bug spray cuz the knats and mosquties or bad because you are right by the water
