The Italian Store Restaurant Review

Most people come here because The Italian Store stocks hard-to-find Italian ingredients and also bakes standout pizzas. But those in the know are drawn by the store's substantial subs (Philadelphia-style, specialty and Italian) and gourmet sandwiches, including pâté and Brie on the bread of your choice. If you want something whopping, consider the Napoli with spicy pepperoni and capacola ham...

Nothing is more fun for Super Bowl Sunday that getting a bunch of subs from The Italian Store! They have a wonderful variety of meats, cheese, toppings...
I think part of the fun is picking a number and standing in line chatting with other people around. It's also fun to watch those sandwich specialists whip up your favorite treat!

Went on a Friday night for family pizza and the place was hopping with a wine tasting and antipasti. Though some other items in the store not as competitive, wines were well-priced.

I normally come here for pizza or a canoli when I'm giving into my sweet tooth. I tried the the la geona sub and it was off the hook. They make fresh bread and pizza on a regular basis that is worth trying. The line may look crazy but they are quick. Love this place!
They also have an amazing...

Business description (6) view all

I travel to Italy annually for business and pleasure, taking the whole family for sometimes a month at a time. I love owning my own business, althought being an independent operator sometimes feels like David vs. Goliath. There is nothing better than being able to discover new Italian food and wine products on a daily basis. Thanks to everyone for your tremendous support over the years!

With several types of pizza sold by the slice, piping hot pies available for pick-up and bags of floury dough in the back for those who want to try their hands at the sumptuous pizzas at home. Sandwiches, authentic hoagie-style sandwiches, a deli case of pasta salads and olives, cheeses, wines in a small market area

He came to Northern Virginia to practice law in the 1940’s and although a beautiful area, it was difficult finding good Italian food. As time went on, he realized that there were many transplanted people from New York and other big cities that very much missed the food he called “the good stuff”. ...
