Editorial reviews from the web (2)

With traditional dancing showcasing the interconnected Polynesian roots of Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti, and New Zealand, the "We Are Ohana (family)" luau is not a hokey tourist-trap event. These performers take their art seriously. The historic oceanfront location at King Kamehameha's former royal compound near Ahuena Heiau adds to the authenticity, and the bounty of food includes kalua pig cooked in...

Island Breeze Luau Restaurant Review

The Island Breeze Luau at King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel is popular for its entertaining show and plentiful food. The evening starts with Polynesian arts and crafts like coconut frond weaving and hula dancing, followed by the procession of The Royal Court to the Royal Grounds for dinner. The buffet offers nearly two dozen dishes to choose from, including traditional fare like kalua pua'a...

It did not live up to all the hype. I have been to several luau's and this was the worst! The description promised several crafts and only one was offered. Too much down time. Very boring. The show was ok. I almost left out of boredom.

My preschooler and I had a fabulous time at the luau! The food was fabulous (they even had mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and french fries for kids) and the performers were amazing. The show was a bit long for my 5 year-old, but as soon as the fire dancer started performing, he was sucked in. The staff was incredibly...

My friends and were told that this was one of the best luaus on the island...if this was one of the best, I'd really hate to see the worst. I will say that the food was fantastic, but not worth the price tag for just the food. The open bar was ONE man in a hut serving over 100 people...yep,...
