"Phenomenal" Med-Italian fare and "impressive wines" are served in "welcoming" fashion within "cozy"-yet-stylish "farmhouse" digs at this "fabulous" longtime NoHo "hot spot"; the scene's just as "buzzy" – and the tabs equally "pricey" – at its nearby market/wine bar sibling, where "fun" communal seating is just the thing for sharing "wonderful small plates."

The unabashed clutter of vintage kitchen gadgets and tableware harks back to Il Buco's past as an antiques store and the effect is a romantic country-house feel with excellent food. This is a favorite for a cozy, intimate meal. The menu focuses on meat and produce from local farms, with several excellent pasta choices, and a variety of Mediterranean tapaslike appetizers. Call ahead to book the...

Fabulous all around!
Intimate, friendly and quirky. Delicious cocktails and food!
I haven't been there for many years. I'm Asian female and I was with another Asian female. The hostess put us the corner of a table that people couldn't see. We are always dressed nicely, have class and we both have black Amex cards. If that's not good enough at NY restaurants what would be?? Food was good, except a daily special pork dish that I had. It was too tough!! Asian restaurants can...
Enjoyed both the charcuterie (salami plate) and the lobster croquettes, also the porchetta and the pastas for dinner. Dessert (panna cotta) was very good - but not so fond of the balsamic vinegar poured over it, chocolate mousse tasted like eating pure cocoa, olive oil cake delicious
Il Buco is always a favorite. We snagged one of the two tables outside and enjoyed the weather perfection. I opted for the Cassis Rosé, as suggested, which was divine. The beef carpaccio was delicious, along with the ricotta appetizer( highly recommend). Love. Love. Love.

Serving wonderful, hearty Italian dishes, this jewel of a restaurant is perfect for a romantic evening. Formerly located in an antique shop, the dining room features rustic country tables bathed in candlelight. The fairly expensive menu includes seasonal appetizers, pastas, salads, and entrees. The wine cellar holds a special appeal for diners as well as literature buffs, as it was reputedly...

Tapas, Mediterranean: Designed to recall the farmhouses typical of the Umbria region, the building that houses this NoHo charmer couldn't enjoy a better history — long ago, back when it was an antique store, hordes of distinguished artists and writers (even Poe) gathered here for afternoon socializing. Today, 47 Bond caters to discerning palates and enthralls them with such offerings as grilled...
Reservations, especially for the weekend, should be made at least a week in advance. Walk-ins are welcome at the bar, and should have no problem scoring a seat late-night (a great time for chef-spotting).
Though the award-winning wine list is stocked with Italian bottles (particularly Umbrian--try the rustic red Montefalco at $45), there are also great values from Spain and France.
If you're on a date, request a table in the candlelit, subterranean wine cellar for less buzz and more romance.
