I am a local. I read some disparaging remarks about one of my favorite restaurants, so my husband and I decided to pay a long overdue visit to Ichiban. As usual, the food was delicious, the service was friendly and prompt. Is this place a 5 star restaurant? No,but I am looking for good food at a good value. Did I mention that we will be dining on leftovers another day. We usually sit at the bar and watch the food being prepared. It is fresh and handled with care. If anyone likes the hibatchi style food in a casual come as you are atmosphere, by all means, come see what the locals love...

Awesome food every time, huge portions and low prices, great friendly staff. I would eat there every day if I could. Highly recommend it! Don't forget to tip the cook he deserves it!

I was in town on vacation in April and had stopped in there one night for dinner thinking it was like the Ichiban's back home. Well, it wasn't, exactly. This place has great food,and prices that wont break the bank. The service is awesome ,the staff is so polite and friendly. I get the sushi more than anything else,but when I do get something else the portions are large very filling. The building isn't pretty,but with beauty come outrageous cost. So if your looking for great food with the best prices in town stop in for a bite. Gonna miss this place when I move in a few years

The food is incredible! Their lunches are huge and a killer deal. My boyfriend and I are so addicted that we will drive out there from near Chick's Beach just to get our Japanese fix. The service isn't the best, but they are very nice. I highly recommend it!
