Upperville is a bit of a drive -- but the scenery, the ambience, and the food make it worthwhile. The food is locally sourced, and authentic taste baked into every bite (you can still taste the hickory or applewood smoke on the short ribs!).
I've eaten here many times and I am never disappointed. I especially like eating here in the nicer weather when the patio is open for outdoor seating.
The place was quiet, but when we arrived, there's no signage about what to do. This place it's a standard pub where you order and then sit we found out later. No one approached us to help, even though we were just standing there awkwardly. We had drinks and food and it was all delicious and relaxing. Just a rough start.
