I love this little place. It's a shame they closed. The food was always good, and was down home cooking. The staff was always attentive and polite, generally fun, too. The prices are exceptionally good. I wish they were still open.

My boyfriend and I ran into this place looking for breakfast. There were only 3 groups when we arrived and about 5 dirty tables. We were greeted and told to have a seat, but it took about 5 minutes to get drinks. The waitress complained about customers constantly coming in. She took an additional 10 minutes to get our order....

In April 2009 we stopped at the Huddle House in Hopewell VA, which is the northernmost outpost of the chain. The service was by far the worst we've gotten at a HH: our server left the restaurant for the day while we were still waiting for our food without saying a word, the chef was grumbling aloud, and clearly overall morale was low. My steakburger was tasty, but my wife's food was overcooked...
