Huber's still has all the trappings of the 19th-century saloon it is today: mahogany paneling, a brass-railed bar, flocked wallpaper and huge Gothic mirrors. The current owner traces his ancestry to a Chinese immigrant from Canton who stowed away and was shanghaied from a rival saloon by one Frank Huber. Shamelessly retro, Huber's is famous for two comestibles: a flaming Spanish coffee,...
Huber's, Portland's oldest restaurant, first opened its doors to the public in 1879 and is tucked inside the Oregon Pioneer Building down a quiet hallway. The main room has a vaulted stained-glass ceiling, Philippine mahogany paneling, and the original brass cash register. Turkey dinner with all the trimmings is the house specialty, but you can also gobble stir-fried turkey and prawns, turkey...

My friends and I went here for our "fancy" dinner out while on our Oregon/Washington trip. Oh my WORD! This place is CRAZY amazing good! I had the filet (medium rare) with a demiglace sauce and go...
Great staff, home cooked food and ambience. We are British and I have to say that the food we had was just like home cooked Tuesday night. Very tasty. Staff were efficient and friendly and th...
First meal in Portland and this was an excellent choice! Ham dinner and turkey club were delicious and perfect portion size. The crème brûlée was good, but the magic was when we ordered the Spanis...
We called in about a week ago and made reservations for the 22nd of December. We drove over from Tillamook and showed up early to check in and they informed us that the person we spoke to didn't enter our reservation into the system and there wasn't anything they could do for us. We have been coming here for years and it has apparently gone down hill since our last visit. So sad to see such...
We always love to come to Hubers! Great food, wonderful drinks and exceptional service! I was disappointed the last two times when I made the reservation thru Open Table, but arrived at the restaurant to find they did not have the reservation. Hubers was gracious enough to accommodate us even though we were a group of 10-12. Kudos to Hubers! We will be back!
Established in 1879, Huber's is Portland's oldest restaurant. If you visited us in the 1890s, you'd have seen patrons conversing with a drink in one hand and a turkey sandwich in the other. Over 100 years later, we're still known for our turkey. Along with our traditional turkey dinner, you can expect majestic decor that's reminiscent of another time. Join us in experiencing the rich history of...

Portland’s oldest restaurant? Huber’s serves TURKEY, people. Which seems cute, vintage, iced-Jesus for the hastily catered Thanksgiving and solemn reminder that the old days weren’t as grand as we remember, but let’s not kid ourselves.
Huber’s is Portland’s oldest bar - a still-perplexing distinction...
