Back in 1954, dry roasting was the most common method of cooking peanuts, but Dot Hubbard took the recipe she had grown up with on her father’s peanut farm in Southampton County and perfected it. She pioneered the first commercial process for water-blanching and oil roasting the biggest and best peanuts of Virginia's harvest. Known as Hubs “home cooked” peanuts, Dot’s family is still cooking Virginia peanuts in the exact same location where she raised her children. Today, Virginia peanuts are prepared in a similar way by many, but there is still no match to the consistent quality of Hubs “home cooked” peanuts. I gave your chocolate covered peanuts as a Christmas present. I just found out that our recipient has not eaten any of your peanuts, fearing sickness. Is this a legitimate reason? We have always considered your products "tops" in quality; and have enjoyed eating your peanuts for quite sometime.
