The elegance of antique Queen Anne furniture accents all of the 43 beautiful guest rooms available at this hotel that also features microwaves, mini refrigerators, irons, ironing boards, and coffee makers in all of the rooms. An outdoor pool, heated spa, and picnic and barbece area are on the property for guests to enjoy while staying here.

I really can't wait to go back

My stay at the Newport News Howard Johnson was my most pleasant hotel experience since staying at a four star hotel on the canal in Venice.
The second floor porch with a lantern and wicker chair; the clean room with a ceiling fan, refrigerator, microwave and complimentary popcorn and peanut butter crackers added a perfect touch.
This was all spread with delicious icing by the staff.

Jefferson Avenue is like the Main Drag and near everything including the Highways to various Attractions - I64.

Hotel rugs were dirty but the Service overall is good. Hotel employees are friendly and willing to help. The fridge we had didn't keep things very cold but they have an Ice machine. They have a place to wash your clothes but the dryer was busted.

My fiance, his 10yr old daughter & myself had stayed at the Howard Johnsons in Virginia Beach from 06/10-06/15 & it was wonderful. We were flying out of Newport News Virginia on June 16th so we figured we'd drive up & stay at a hotel close to the airport. Since we were already staying at a Howard Johnsons we figured...
