La Posada, Albuquerque's stunning historic landmark hotel rich in railroad history, was refurbished in 2010 with Andalucian stylings and green building standards, and then relaunched as the Hotel Andaluz. The Living Room is more than a lobby bar - it is the hotel's main room. Couches and comfy chairs dot the space, which is dominated by an illuminated fountain. Private booths seating up to...

Horrible

I took my boyfriend to the Andaluz for his birthday. The staff was really friendly at first. I rented a room and had a few of his friends over. With having a few big boys in the room and only one small bathroom, I lit some incense. They charged me a $200 smoking fee. No where on the paper I signed did it say no incense or candles. It just said non-smoking, which I take as no cigarettes. I find $200 a bit extreme. My boyfriend said he will pay it but that's horrible for his birthday. On top of that the room we had was not in the best condition. The table had a big chip in it. The brown chair had white stains all over it. The couch was a pull out and had little staples sticking out and my boyfriend accidentally stabbed his finger on one. We talked to the manager about it and he pretty much said he could do something about it but wasn't going to. Needles to say we will never go back.

Opened in 1939 by Conrad Hilton (who honeymooned here with Zsa Zsa Gabor), this glamorous 10-story hotel on the National Register of Historic Places was known as La Posada de Albuquerque until it was reinvented (and completely redone inside)—at a cost of $30 million—as a high-end boutique hotel in 2009. Its new name, Andaluz, and its stunning decor reflect the Moroccan and Spanish-colonial...

A historic hotel that was once a favorite escape for Hollywood elite.

A native of New Mexico, Conrad Hilton of Hilton hotel fame is the man behind this grand property in bustling Albuquerque, right next to the railroad station. This 1939 landmark was his third property and his first in the Land of Enchantment. It went through some rough times and was even vacant for a while, but it has recently been refurbished and claims its original grandeur. From the lobby...

Walking into the lobby, I instantly new that this hotel wasn't usual chain hotel. There was such character with sitting areas throughout the lobby all with different themes. The hotel rooms were lovely and the staff was very considerate and helpful.
It made a business trip very pleasurable.
Thank you!

Hotel Andaluz is not only a wonderful place to stay, but they have history (one of the original Conrad Hilton hotels), and are a "green" hotel--they have their own solar water heating system, as well as some interesting automated energy saving heating and lighting systems. The staff was delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. And the real surprise was...

We stayed here 1 night as part of our Rt 66 trip.We read a lot of good reviews of the hotel so we thought we would pay the premium price as other hotels offered better deal.
We are not high maintenance but we were disappointed.
We sat down in the "roof top" bar in the evening for a cocktail.Let's just...
