“‘Affordability’ is the key word” at this ever-expanding Swedish megachain known for its “disposable” “cheap-chic” trendwear including designer capsule collections offered at “bargain-basement” prices in an “ever-changing” array that keeps die-hards dropping by “at least weekly”; “disorganized” racks, “lacking” service and “long lines” can be a hassle though, so those in a hurry skip the...
Extensive selection and sales to keep you hooked and returning for years to come. Affordable yet stylish collections for the whole family (plus cosmetics, accessories and footwear). Choice store to pick up flyby trend apparel that won’t weather through to next season, or last minute outfit purchases (without debilitating your financial resources). Racks aplenty require dedication and a good...
The Swedish superdiscounter Hennes & Mauritz is officially all over New York City. The loud, bustling stores are mostly multilevel lofts, but the departments are usually organized, if crowded. Both men’s and women’s clothing is ultrachic, and the prices are low, low, low—which is apparent in the quality, but who cares since it’s only supposed to be worn one season. Teens especially love it for...
The walls of this Swedish retailer are wrapped in bold graphics, the music's blaring and there's a light-up floor panel smack in the store's middle running between two escalators. More cramped than...
There are H&M's everywhere! On 34th by Penn Station, in SOHO, in Manhattan Mall, and many other places in Manhattan. My favorite H&M is the one on 34th! It's huge but organized! Plus there's a mini lounge area on the second floor for people to charge their phone and hang out.
I have to be honest and admit that above all retails stores H& M is not at the top f my list. In comparison I would consider myself more of a Forever 21 girl. However, I do stop in from time to time when I want something different. When I am there it is often hard for me to find things simply because I don't really know my style in this store.
Recently, I had an event to attend after work (very upscale rooftop lounge premiere). To make things worse I had let the date of the event slip my mind and came into work with nothing to change into. I left an hour early making a mad dash to...

Only recently I started going to H&M but most of the time I was really happy with my shopping excursion. The clothing is really inexpensive - you can get a bathing suit for under $18 bucks, and I also bought two pairs of jeans, a dress and a couple of t-shirts for about 100 bucks, which made me really really happy. The one down side was that they run through their stock pretty quick, so the old adage first come first serve holds true in this case.
One of the things I really like about H&M besides their cheap prices and cool clothing is that there are two stores in solo, within blocks...

The sunglasses may be super-cheap, but they do actually provide UV protection.
