We visited the museum this weekend to see the fabulous Steve McCurry photo exhibit. The world famous 'Afgan Girl' and a hundred more did not disappoint. The fold art collection is amazing.

The Hickory Museum of Art has a fine collection and interesting special exhibitions. It features a folk art gallery that presents unique works in a friendly setting. The gift shop is a great placed to find hand-crafted items by area artists.

One of North Carolina's oldest museums, this museum was established in 1944 and features a permanent collection of over 1,200 works of art including 19th century landscapes, American art pottery, regional folk art, and contemporary art glass. Many classes, films, and programs are available.
