We move to Virginia in 2004, my daughter enjoyed the park when she was younger, we love the historical park re-creates everyday 17th century life in the second successful English settlement in North America. We visit every weekend, I hope when my grandchildren come around , they also can enjoy Henricus Historical Park.
I took a group of Special Needs students here and loved that the guides were able to gear their descriptions and activities to a level they could understand. Being able to access the buildings and even get a lesson on how the soldiers would drill was a lot of fun.

This 32-acre park is located in the old "Citie of Henricus" that was founded in 1611. Guides in period dress lead visitors through several areas of the historical site where guests can learn about different aspects of 17th century life. Henricus was the site of the first hospital in the country, and for a short time Pocahontas lived here.©10Best.com
