I should have listened to my instincts and run the other direction when I paid for detailing services in full and the owner tried to nickel and dime me with extra undisclosed fees when I called to make the appointment for the cleaning. I found this to be unprofessional, and next time I will listen to my instincts, because I went forward with scheduling the appointment and his workers caused major damage to the electronics of my vehicle, rendering my van inoperable. The workers seemed to be honest at the time--after the cleaning, they admitted to spraying the inside the van, apologized for damaging it, and stated the owner would make it right and fix the damage if the electronics didn't "dry out" and begin working by the next day. As far as honesty is concerned, the worker seemed to be a stand-up guy, and we even tipped him well for being honest, but the owner was another story. The electronics did not dry out, and the owner came to my house the next day and immediately said the problems were probably pre-existing (which is certainly an interesting accusation, since his own workers moved my van to clean it, but it wasn't even driveable after they finished cleaning it). I couldn't believe my ears, that any respectful business owner would accuse me of such a thing when my car was sitting in front of us visibly damaged and inoperable. After repeatedly telling him the damage was not pre-existing and that I could drive it just fine before his workers detailed it, he said he would let his insurance handle it. After seven weeks of the run around, and with me being without my vehicle, it turns out he did not even have proper liability insurance. Then he said he would let a mechanic determine the problem and what happened. The diagnostic tests clearly showed that their chemical cleaning sprays caused damage and corrosion to the control panel, shorting out the electronics, causing hundreds of dollars in damages. Anyone could clearly see the actual liquid corrosion on the damaged control panel given to me by the mechanic, but again, the owner still refused to take any responsibility for the damages. Even after seeing the evidence of the damage, the owner accused the mechanic of lying to "side with us", and again refused to pay for the damage he caused, then accused my husband and me of being the dishonest ones. This after we did everything he asked to ascertain what happened and who was responsible, and as my husband and I are honest professionals, we found his behavior and accusations to be beyond insulting and shocking.
All I wanted was a clean vehicle, and I was not able to drive for seven weeks, because of the destruction the chemicals caused. There was so much cleaning liquid haphazardly sprayed into my car, that I even found the liquid coating wires and pooled in screw holes near the rear door.
This is by far the worst experience we have ever had with any business, and the only negative review we have ever felt the need to leave to warn others. The owner of this company is dishonest, was improperly insured, and even involved his hostile wife in accusing us of being the dishonest ones--unbelievable. They are unprofessional on so many different levels--I have learned my lesson and will never trust my vehicle or any of my belongings to a newly-established small business lacking positive reviews ever again. As in a service industry, reputation is everything, and I hope that my review will save someone else from a similar awful experience in dealing with HBG's Mobile Detailing. There are plenty of reputable, honest small businesses out there, but this is absolutely not one of them.
Bought a LivingSocial deal with them for a power wash of my house and booked it weeks in advance. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this "deal." AMAZING!!!! Tye was very kind and respectful on the phone when i scheduled. The guys showed up on time (Ivan and i am not sure the other gentleman's name). They were also very kind and respectful. They spent over 2 hours on my SUV and 2 hours on my friends Taurus. When I looked it over later it honestly looked better then when i purchased the vehicle. And best of all the prices are reasonable....

I was very surprised by some of these negative reviews. I actually think Tye is a cool guy with a great business. I loved that it is family owned and operated.
Very professional and extremely reasonable compared to other power washing companies to remove oil and other stains from our concrete driveway. He provided exceptional service the same day. I would highly recommend him for your power washing needs.
