Help us make it rightI stopped in and order a chopped BBQ sandwich with sweet potato fries to-go. The chopped BBQ is NC style and tasted great. The vinegar flavor was not too strong, and I could taste the pork properly. The sweet potato fries were very good. The price was pretty affordable. I'll probably stop in again next time I'm in the area...
While in Sandston on nursing business, I decided to try Andy's Barbecue. I was not too hungry so ordered a bar-b-q sandwich with slaw, NC style. NC style only comes in chopped pork. Upon first bite the pork was so dry and salty, I went back and asked for some sauce. When I told the older woman at the cash...
By far the best NC BBQ in town. Onion rings are great too; hand breaded. Order them "extra well" so they will be cooked dark and crisp. They sell their sauce by the bottle; I always pick up a bottle when I am that way!
Food was good, but most of the food we tried to order the first time around was out of stock! It was nice and clean and the waitress/hostess was very nice(she multi-tasked). I would go again if in the area because the prices were right and the food was good.
Very rude to my group. They acted like they didn't want our business. (We are a bicycle group that eats after a Thursday evening ride.)
Visiting Andy`s Barbecue, you`ll find a restaurant that serves up an American menu with a menu dominated by barbecue. Expect the average entrée to cost under $8.
Details to Note: Carryout is available.
