Excellent place to stay. Comfortable rooms, just like staying with family. We are on geocaching vacation, perfet place for that advenrure. Wendy placed most of the caches in area. Serve yourself kitchen, continental breakfast items. Beautiful area, gardens are pretty.....am sure outstanding in summer.

I've visited the area three times -- staying once in Matewan, once in Williamson (in a hotel that is now closed), and now here at the Hatfield McCoy House. A fairly large group of us, all geocachers, came up from Georgia to enjoy the caching and history available in the area. We stayed 6 days/5 nights and had a wonderful time. I spent a long weekend here with Robert (I took him here as a surprise for his birthday), and we had a blast. The hospitality is unmatched, and the location can't be beat. We enjoyed socialising with the other guest and of course Wendy. We will definitely be back. Heck, I didn't want to leave in the first place!

Decided to get the entire geocaching Hatfield and McCoy experience by staying here for 4 days. LOVED IT!!
